Overview

The Alerts screen lets you define and monitor custom notifications for critical events on your Amazon listings.


1. Alerts List View

  • Alert Type: The event you’re monitoring (e.g., BuyBox Loss, Bestseller Rank, Hijacking).

  • ASIN: The product identifier the alert applies to.

  • Conditions: The specific logical condition that triggers the alert (e.g., buybox_status = Lost, rank > 1000, seller_status = Authorized).

  • Marketplace: The Amazon region (e.g., Amazon DE, Amazon US).

  • Notifications: How you’ll be notified—currently via Email.

  • Last Run: Timestamp of the most recent evaluation of this alert.

  • Status:

    • ACTIVE means the alert is currently monitoring and will fire when conditions are met.

    • PAUSED means it’s stopped and will not run until reactivated.

  • Actions:

    • Stop / Start: Toggle the alert’s status.

    • View Logs: Opens a history of past alert firings and any error messages.

  • Create Alert Button: Opens the “Create Alert” form to define a new notification rule.

  • Refresh Button: Manually re-runs all active alerts immediately.


2. Create Alert Popup

When you click Create Alert, a modal appears with the following fields:

  1. Connection (required) Select the Amazon account/marketplace you want to monitor.

  2. Alert Type (required) Choose from predefined event types, such as:

    • BuyBox Loss / BuyBox Won

    • Bestseller Rank (e.g., rank > 1000)

    • Hijacking (seller_status = Unauthorized)

    • Custom conditions can be added in a future release.

  3. ASIN (required) Enter the 10-character ASIN for the specific product to watch.

  4. Marketplace (required) Confirm or change the region for this alert.

  5. Conditions (required) Specify the logical rule that triggers the alert (e.g., buybox_status = Lost or rank > 100).

  6. Notifications Toggle on Email alerts (future channels may be added).

  7. Create Alert Clicking this button saves and immediately activates the new alert.


How to Use Alerts

  1. Define Critical Conditions: Choose the events (Buy Box changes, rank thresholds, hijacker status) you cannot afford to miss.

  2. Set Accurate ASIN & Marketplace: Ensure alerts fire only for the intended product and region.

  3. Monitor & Act: When an alert email arrives, click View Logs in SellerMagnet to see the context and next steps.

  4. Pause Unneeded Alerts: Keep your inbox focused by pausing alerts that are no longer relevant.

With Alerts, you gain real-time visibility into listing health and competitive signals, so you can respond immediately to protect your sales and brand.
