## 📋 Overview

The **Review Requester** automates the process of sending Amazon-compliant review request emails to your buyers. More reviews mean better product rankings, higher conversion rates, and stronger Buy Box competitiveness. SellerMagnet handles the timing, targeting, and tracking so you never miss an opportunity to collect feedback.

The tool uses Amazon's official "Request a Review" mechanism, ensuring full compliance with Amazon's Terms of Service. Every request sent through SellerMagnet is identical to clicking the "Request a Review" button in Seller Central, but automated across your entire order history.

## 🌟 Why Reviews Matter

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-cover data-type="files"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Search ranking</strong></td><td>Products with more reviews rank higher in Amazon search results</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Conversion rate</strong></td><td>Listings with 50+ reviews convert 2-3x better than those with 5</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Buy Box eligibility</strong></td><td>Seller feedback score influences Buy Box allocation</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Customer trust</strong></td><td>93% of consumers read reviews before purchasing</td><td></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Advertising efficiency</strong></td><td>Higher conversion rates lower your ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sale) on Sponsored Products</td><td></td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="success" icon="rocket" %}
**Pro tip:** Amazon allows you to request a review between 5 and 30 days after delivery. SellerMagnet's default timing of 7-14 days hits the sweet spot, early enough that the purchase is fresh in the buyer's mind, but late enough that they have had time to use the product.

## 📋 Dashboard Overview

The Review Requester page is divided into three main sections:

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Statistics Panel" %}
Four KPI metrics at the top show your review request activity:

| KPI                 | Description                                                |

| **Sent (30d)**      | Requests sent in the last 30 days                          |
| **Sent (All Time)** | Lifetime total across all marketplaces |

Below the KPIs, a **trend chart** visualizes daily request volume over time, helping you spot patterns and confirm that automation is working consistently.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Latest Seller Reviews" %}
A slider panel showing your most recent seller feedback across marketplaces:

{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Orders Table" %}
The main section displays your orders organized into accordion sections by review request status:

| Section        | Description                                                                        | Badge Color |

## Sending Review Requests

![SellerMagnet Review Requester](/files/UYge3dlrHiUV4HX7AehH)

### Manual (Individual)

1. Find the order in the Orders Table.
2. Click the **Send Request** button in the Manage column.
3. Confirm the action.
4. The order moves from the "Waiting" section to "Sent."

### Bulk Requests

1. Select multiple orders using the checkboxes.
2. Click the **Bulk Request** button in the toolbar.
3. Confirm the batch action.
4. All selected orders receive review requests.

### Automatic Requests

1. Click the **Automatic** button in the toolbar.
2. Configure the automation settings:

| Setting                  | Description                                                      |
| ------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Enable/Disable** | Toggle automatic review requests on or off |
| **Delay after delivery** | Number of days to wait after delivery before sending (5-30 days) |
| **Marketplace filter** | Choose which marketplaces to include in automation |
| **Fulfillment filter** | Send for FBA orders only, FBM only, or both |
| **Minimum order value** | Only request reviews for orders above a certain value |

{% hint style="success" icon="rocket" %}
**Pro tip:** Set the delay to 10 days for FBA orders and 14 days for FBM orders. FBA delivery is faster, so buyers have the product sooner. FBM orders may take longer to arrive, so a slightly later request avoids asking before the buyer receives the item.
{% endhint %}

## Compliance and Amazon Policies

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Important:** SellerMagnet uses Amazon's official "Request a Review" API, which is fully compliant with Amazon's Communication Guidelines. However, you should be aware of these rules:

* You may only request a review **once per order**
* Requests must be sent between **5 and 30 days** after delivery
* You **cannot** incentivize reviews (no discounts, coupons, or gifts in exchange)
* You **cannot** ask for only positive reviews
* You **cannot** contact buyers who have opted out of seller messages
  {% endhint %}

SellerMagnet enforces these rules automatically. The system will not allow you to send a request outside the eligible window or to orders that have already received a request.

***

## 🎯 Realistic Example

**Scenario:** You sell 200 orders per day across Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, and Amazon.it. You want to maximize review collection without spending time in Seller Central.

**Setup:**

1. Enable **Automatic Review Requests**.
2. Set delay: **10 days** after delivery.
3. Marketplaces: **All** (de, fr, it).
4. Fulfillment: **Both** FBA and FBM.
5. Minimum order value: **EUR 0** (request for all orders).

**Results after 30 days:**

* 6,000 orders processed
* 5,400 review requests sent (600 ineligible due to cancellations/returns)
* \~270 new product reviews received (5% response rate)
* \~135 new seller feedback entries received

Without automation, sending 5,400 individual requests manually would take approximately 45 hours of clicking in Seller Central.

<summary><strong>⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid</strong></summary>

| Mistake                               | Why It Hurts                                                           |
| ------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Setting the delay too short (5 days) | Buyer may not have received the product yet, leading to frustration |
| Setting the delay too long (28+ days) | Buyer has forgotten about the purchase; lower response rates |
| Not enabling automation | You manually forget to send requests and miss thousands of reviews |
| Excluding low-value orders | Every review counts; even a EUR 5 order can generate valuable feedback |
| Not monitoring the trend chart | You miss automation failures or disruptions |

</details>

\## ✅ Best Practices

1. **Enable automation on day one:** Set it and forget it. Every eligible order should receive a review request.
2. **Use marketplace-specific timing:** Different marketplaces have different delivery speeds. Adjust the delay per marketplace if possible.
3. **Monitor your seller feedback score weekly:** A declining score may indicate a product quality issue that review requests are surfacing.
4. **Focus on product quality, not request volume:** More requests only help if your products are good. A bad product with many reviews still has bad reviews.
5. **Cross-reference requests with reviews:** Track your review request volume against new review count to estimate your response rate. Industry average is 3-8%.

## ❓ FAQ

<details>

<summary><strong>Is using the Review Requester against Amazon's Terms of Service?</strong></summary>

No. SellerMagnet uses Amazon's official "Request a Review" API, which is the same mechanism as the button in Seller Central. It is fully compliant.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Can I customize the review request message?</strong></summary>

No. Amazon's "Request a Review" sends a standardized email from Amazon. You cannot modify the content, subject line, or branding. This is by design to prevent manipulation.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>What is a good review response rate?</strong></summary>

Industry average is 3-8%. Response rates vary by product category, price point, and marketplace. Higher-priced products and consumables tend to have higher response rates.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Can I request reviews for orders from months ago?</strong></summary>

Only for orders where delivery was within the last 30 days. Orders older than 30 days are marked as "Ineligible" and cannot receive review requests.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Does the review requester work for both product reviews and seller feedback?</strong></summary>

Yes. Amazon's "Request a Review" email asks the buyer for both a product review and seller feedback in a single message.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>What happens if a buyer has already left a review?</strong></summary>

Amazon prevents duplicate requests. If a buyer has already reviewed the product, the request is simply not sent (or is ignored by Amazon's system).

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Can I exclude specific products from review requests?</strong></summary>

The automatic system sends requests for all qualifying orders. To exclude specific products, use manual sending instead of automation, or set a minimum order value that excludes cheap items you do not want reviewed.
