**Availability:** A+ Content is part of the **Listing Manager AI** suite, which rolls out **per account**. While yours is pending you'll see an amber hourglass next to it in the **Listing-Manager** menu and a "you're on the list" note when you open it - at no charge until you decide to keep it. It needs a connected Amazon account. See [Listing Optimizer](/selling-tools/listing-optimizer-overview.md).

## 📋 Overview

The **A+ Content Manager** is the place to work with the A+ Content documents that already exist in your Amazon account. It lists every document across your marketplaces, lets you edit the modules inside a document, and pushes your changes back to Amazon - either saved quietly or sent into Amazon's approval queue - without you ever opening Seller Central.

### What A+ Content is (a quick primer)

**A+ Content** is the rich, brand-owned section of an Amazon product page: the enhanced description area with formatted text, comparison tables, and lifestyle or infographic images, sitting below the buy box. It replaces the plain-text product description for eligible brands. A+ Content is available to sellers enrolled in **Amazon Brand Registry**, and Amazon has long reported that well-built A+ Content lifts conversion because shoppers get a clearer, more visual understanding of the product before they buy.

A+ Content is organized as **documents**. A document is a stack of **modules** - reusable content blocks such as a text paragraph, a four-image grid, a comparison table, or a company logo. You assemble modules into a document, then that document is applied to one or more of your ASINs.

{% hint style="info" %}
**This page manages existing documents.** To create a brand-new A+ Content document from scratch, use the **Listing Quality** page in the Listing Manager AI suite - see [Listing Quality](/selling-tools/listing-optimizer-overview/listing-quality.md). The A+ Content Manager is built for browsing, editing, and publishing documents that already exist in your account.

## 🗂️ The document grid

When the page opens it loads every A+ Content document for the marketplace shown in the selector at the top right, then displays them as a grid of cards. Amazon's A+ Content API is **region-based** - it returns documents for every marketplace in a region - so the manager filters the list down to the single marketplace you have selected. Switch marketplaces with the selector, or hit **Refresh** to reload.

Each card shows:

| Element           | What it shows                                                                  |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Document name** | The document's title (or "Untitled Document" if Amazon has none) |
| **Reference key** | The document's unique Amazon content reference key (monospace, under the name) |
| **Status badge** | The document's approval state - see the status table below |
| **Type badge** | Standard, Auto-Generated, or Brand Story - see the type table below |
| **Marketplace** | The marketplace the document belongs to, shown as a country **flag chip** |
| **View / Edit** | Buttons that open the document in the detail panel |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Identical documents are grouped.** When the same A+ document exists as several identical copies, the grid collapses them into a single card labelled **"x N versions"** with a **Show versions** toggle. Expand it to see and open the individual versions instead of scrolling past a row of duplicates.
{% endhint %}

### Type badges

| Badge              | Meaning                                                                                                      |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Standard**       | A normal A+ document you built or imported                                                                   |
| **Auto-Generated** | A document Amazon generated automatically; these are dimmed in the grid and pushed to the bottom of the list |
| **Brand Story** | A Brand Story document - a special module family that opens in Seller Central (see below) |

### Status badges

| Badge                       | Color    | Meaning                                    |
| --------------------------- | -------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| **Active** / **Approved**   | 🟢 Green | Live and approved by Amazon                |
| **Draft** | 🟠 Amber | Saved but not submitted for approval |
| **Pending** / **Submitted** | 🔵 Blue | Sent to Amazon and waiting on their review |
| **Rejected**                | 🔴 Red   | Amazon declined the submission             |

## 🔍 Filtering and finding a document

A filter bar sits above the grid with two independent groups. The page opens focused on **My Content** so your own documents are front and center; switch to **All** to include auto-generated ones.

**By type:**

| Filter             | Shows                                                   |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| **All** | Every document in the marketplace |
| **My Content** | Documents you own - auto-generated documents are hidden |
| **Auto-Generated** | Only the documents Amazon generated automatically |
| **Brand Story** | Only Brand Story documents |

**By status:**

| Filter         | Shows                          |
| -------------- | ------------------------------ |
| **All Status** | Documents in any state |
| **Approved**   | Only approved / live documents |
| **Draft**      | Only unsubmitted drafts        |

Each filter button carries a live **count** so you can see at a glance how many documents fall into each bucket. There is also a **search box** in the top toolbar - type any part of a document's **name** or its **reference key** to narrow the grid instantly. A results line ("Showing X of Y documents") tells you how many cards the current filters and search have matched.

## ✏️ Editing a document

Click **View** or **Edit** on a card (or click the card itself) to open the **detail panel** - a drawer that slides in from the right. It loads the document by its reference key and lists every module inside it.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the document

Click a card to open the detail panel. The panel title shows the document name, and each module appears as a collapsible row with an icon and its type (for example **Text Block**, **Four Image & Text**, or **Comparison Table**).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Expand a module and edit its fields

Click a module row to expand it. SellerMagnet reads the module's structure and surfaces its **editable fields** - headlines, body text, and image **alt text** - as text boxes. Image blocks show a thumbnail preview alongside an alt-text field. Type your changes directly into the fields.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add or remove modules

Use **Add Module** at the bottom of the panel to open the module picker, then choose a module type to append a fresh, empty block of that type to the document. To delete a block, click the trash icon on its module row. Both actions update the working document in the panel; nothing reaches Amazon until you save.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save your work

Use the footer buttons to publish. **Save to Amazon** stores your edits against the document; **Save & Submit** additionally sends it into Amazon's approval queue (see the next section).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### The module types you can add

The **Add Module** picker offers the standard A+ module family:

| Module                  | Module             | Module              |
| ----------------------- | ------------------ | ------------------- |
| Company Logo | Text Block | Image Text Overlay |
| Header Image + Text | Four Image & Text | Four Image Quadrant |
| Single Image Highlights | Single Image Specs | Side Image |
| Three Image & Text      | Comparison Table   | Tech Specs          |
| Multiple Image & Text   | Image Sidebar      |                     |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Editable fields only.** The panel surfaces the text and alt-text fields it can safely edit. Some structured pieces - such as a comparison table's full grid or specification lists - may not appear as editable inputs here; for deep structural work on those, use Seller Central. If a module has nothing editable, the panel says "No editable fields."
{% endhint %}

## 🤖 Edit with AI

A+ documents are no longer edit-only. On an editable standard document, an **Edit with AI** button opens an inline, **text-only** AI editor. It is a metered feature that spends AI credits.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the AI panel

Click **Edit with AI** on an editable standard document. An inline panel opens, labelled **"What should the AI change?"** with a placeholder prompt such as "Make the copy more concise and benefit-focused".
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Describe the change

Type what you want rewritten. The panel carries the note **"Only text is rewritten - images and layout stay untouched. Nothing is sent to Amazon until you press Save."**
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Apply the edit

Click **Apply AI edit**. The AI rewrites only the text fields of the document and shows the result inline for review. It spends AI credits each time it runs.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Text only, and never auto-published.** The AI editor touches copy alone - images and module layout are left exactly as they were - and nothing reaches Amazon until you use the footer **Save to Amazon** or **Save & Submit** buttons below.
{% endhint %}

***

## 💾 Save to Amazon vs Save & Submit

The two footer buttons do different things, and the difference matters.

| Button             | What it does                                                                                                |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Save to Amazon** | Stores your module edits against the document. It updates the document but does **not** send it for review. |
| **Save & Submit** | Saves your edits **and** submits the document into Amazon's approval queue. |

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Amazon queues submissions - it does not apply them instantly.** A successful **Save & Submit** means Amazon **accepted the document into its review queue**, not that it is live. Amazon validates the content and can still **reject** it. If a submission is rejected, the reason comes back on the document so you can correct the content and resubmit. Until Amazon finishes reviewing, the document sits in a **Pending** state.
{% endhint %}

## 👑 Premium A+ and Brand Story modules

Some documents use **Brand Story** or **Premium A+** modules. These are not supported by the standard Amazon A+ Content API that SellerMagnet uses, so they **cannot be edited in this panel**. When you open such a document, the panel shows a notice and a button to **Open in Seller Central**, taking you to the A+ dashboard in the correct regional Seller Central for that marketplace, where you can view and edit those modules directly.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Why the split?** SellerMagnet edits the standard module set through Amazon's supported API. Premium A+ and Brand Story are a separate, richer format that Amazon only exposes in Seller Central. Rather than partially render them and risk corrupting the layout, the manager sends you to the tool that owns them.
{% endhint %}

## ⚠️ Things to know

* **Creating brand-new A+ is done elsewhere.** This page manages documents that already exist. To build a new A+ Content document, start from the **Listing Quality** page - see [Listing Quality](/selling-tools/listing-optimizer-overview/listing-quality.md). The empty state on this page points you there too.
* **"Assign to ASINs" is not driven from this page.** You may see the phrase "Assign to ASINs" in the in-app help and product tour. Assigning a document to specific ASINs (applying it so it shows on a product page) is handled in the listing-creation and builder flows, **not** from the A+ Content Manager grid. Treat this page as your document workshop - browse, edit, and publish document content - rather than the place you attach a document to a product.
* **A connected Amazon account is required.** The manager reads and writes through your linked Amazon account. Without a connection, no documents load.
* **Brand Registry is required for A+.** A+ Content is only available to brands enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. If your account is not enrolled, you will not have A+ documents to manage. The in-app hint states it directly: "A+ Content requires Amazon Brand Registry - sellers without Brand Registry will not see A+ documents here and cannot create new ones."
* **The list is per-marketplace.** Because the A+ API is region-based, always confirm the marketplace selector is set to the one you mean before editing.

## ✅ Best Practices

1. **Filter to My Content first.** Start on the **My Content** filter so Amazon's auto-generated documents do not clutter your view, then switch to **All** only when you need them.
2. **Edit, review, then Save & Submit.** Use **Save to Amazon** while you iterate, and only **Save & Submit** when the document is genuinely ready - each submission goes through Amazon's review.
3. **Write meaningful alt text.** Every image field has an alt-text box. Descriptive alt text improves accessibility and gives Amazon more context about your imagery.
4. **Fix rejections at the source.** If a document comes back **Rejected**, read Amazon's reason, correct the offending module, and resubmit rather than resubmitting unchanged.
5. **Use Seller Central for Premium A+ and Brand Story.** When the panel routes you out, follow it - those formats are meant to be edited there.
6. **Confirm the marketplace.** Since the grid is filtered per marketplace, double-check the selector before you assume a document is missing.

## ❓ FAQ

<details>

<summary><strong>Can I create a new A+ Content document from this page?</strong></summary>

No. The A+ Content Manager is for managing documents that already exist in your account. To create a brand-new document, use the **Listing Quality** page in the Listing Manager AI suite. This page's empty state links you there as well.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>How do I assign a document to a specific ASIN here?</strong></summary>

Assigning a document to ASINs is not driven from this manager grid. The phrase "Assign to ASINs" appears in the in-app help and tour, but attaching a document to a product is handled in the listing-creation and builder flows. Use this page to browse, edit, and publish document content.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>What is the difference between Save to Amazon and Save &#x26; Submit?</strong></summary>

**Save to Amazon** stores your module edits against the document without sending it for review. **Save & Submit** saves your edits and additionally puts the document into Amazon's approval queue. Only **Save & Submit** triggers Amazon's review.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Why can't I edit a Brand Story or Premium A+ document?</strong></summary>

Those documents use modules that the standard Amazon A+ Content API does not support. The panel shows an "Open in Seller Central" button so you can view and edit them in Amazon's own tool, which owns that richer format.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>My changes were submitted - why aren't they live yet?</strong></summary>

A submission means Amazon **accepted the document into its review queue**, not that it is published. Amazon validates the content and can still reject it. The document stays **Pending** until Amazon finishes reviewing; a rejection comes back with a reason so you can fix and resubmit.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Why do I see fewer documents than I expected?</strong></summary>

Check two things: the **marketplace selector** (the grid is filtered to a single marketplace because the A+ API is region-based) and your **filters** (the page opens on **My Content**, which hides auto-generated documents - switch to **All** to see everything).

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Do I need Brand Registry to use A+ Content?</strong></summary>

Yes. A+ Content is an Amazon feature reserved for brands enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. If your account is not enrolled, you will not have A+ documents to manage.

</details>
