📋 Overview

The SellerMagnet Affiliate Program is designed for content creators, Amazon seller educators, agencies, and community leaders who want to earn commissions by promoting SellerMagnet. Unlike the Refer a Friend program (which rewards existing users for casual recommendations), the Affiliate Program is a structured partnership with tracking, reporting, and higher earning potential.

If you run a YouTube channel about Amazon FBA, manage a seller education course, operate an Amazon agency, or lead a seller community, the Affiliate Program turns your audience into a revenue stream.

Promotion Guidelines

Permitted

  • Honest reviews and tutorials featuring SellerMagnet

  • Comparison articles (SellerMagnet vs. competitors) with factual information

  • Social media posts, stories, and videos demonstrating the product

  • Email newsletters to your own subscriber list

  • Webinars and live demonstrations

  • Course materials that include SellerMagnet as a recommended tool

Prohibited

  • Paid search ads bidding on "SellerMagnet" brand keywords

  • Misleading claims about features, pricing, or guarantees

  • Spam: unsolicited emails, messages, or comments

  • Coupon/deal sites that only display discount codes without genuine content

  • Cookie stuffing or any form of artificial click inflation

  • Impersonating SellerMagnet staff or making false partnership claims

🎯 Realistic Example

Scenario: You run a YouTube channel about Amazon FBA with 15,000 subscribers. You create a video tutorial titled "How I Source Products 5x Faster with SellerMagnet."

Month 1:

  • Video generates 3,200 views

  • 180 clicks on your affiliate link

  • 22 signups (12.2% click-to-signup rate)

  • 8 convert to paid plans at an average of EUR 39/month

  • Commission: 8 first-month payments × EUR 39 × 50% = EUR 156.00

How the per-subscriber math works (EUR 39 monthly plan): each paid referral earns you EUR 19.50 in their first month (50% of EUR 39) and EUR 7.80 per renewal (20% of EUR 39). Renewals are paid only for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th months, so a single subscriber is worth at most EUR 19.50 + (3 × EUR 7.80) = EUR 42.90 over their lifetime.

Month 6: Assume your growing library now converts a steady 5 new paid subscribers per month on top of the Month 1 burst. By Month 6 you are at steady state, so that single month earns:

  • 5 new subscribers × EUR 19.50 = EUR 97.50 (first-month commissions)

  • 5 subscribers in their 2nd month × EUR 7.80 = EUR 39.00

  • 5 subscribers in their 3rd month × EUR 7.80 = EUR 39.00

  • 5 subscribers in their 4th month × EUR 7.80 = EUR 39.00

  • Month 6 commission: EUR 214.50

  • Cumulative Months 1-6: EUR 1,181.70

Month 12: With the same steady 5 conversions per month, each month keeps earning one fresh first-month cohort plus three renewing cohorts:

  • Month 12 commission: EUR 214.50 (steady-state monthly run rate)

  • Cumulative Months 1-12: EUR 2,468.70

Note that the Month 1 cohort stops paying commission after its 4th month, because monthly-plan renewals end at the 4th month. Steady income comes from the continuous flow of new conversions your content library produces, which is why a growing library matters more than any single video.

This projection uses the standard 50% first-month and 20% renewal rates on a EUR 39 monthly plan. Your own conversion volume, plan mix, and any custom rates set for your account will change the totals. Your affiliate dashboard always shows your actual figures.

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid
Mistake
Why It Hurts

Only posting your affiliate link without context

Low conversion rate; audiences need education, not just links

Not disclosing the affiliate relationship

Violates FTC/EU transparency requirements and damages trust

Creating low-quality content just for commissions

Damages your reputation and results in unsubscribes

Not tracking multiple link sources

You cannot identify which content performs best

Forgetting to update content when features change

Outdated information leads to confused sign-ups and complaints

## ✅ Best Practices

  1. Create genuine, helpful content: Tutorials, walkthroughs, and honest reviews convert far better than hard sells.

  2. Show, do not tell: Screen recordings demonstrating the Sourcer, Repricer, or Review Requester in action are the highest-converting content format.

  3. Disclose your affiliate status: Always include a disclosure statement. Transparency builds trust and is legally required in most jurisdictions.

  4. Use multiple content formats: Blog posts, videos, email newsletters, and social media posts all reach different audience segments.

  5. Update content regularly: As SellerMagnet adds features, update your content to reflect the latest capabilities.

  6. Engage with your audience: Answer questions about SellerMagnet in comments and messages. Personal engagement drives conversions.

🔧 Troubleshooting

If something looks off in your tracking or payouts, work through the table below before contacting support. Most issues trace back to a modified link, incomplete Stripe onboarding, or a signup that has not yet upgraded to a paid plan.

Symptom
Likely cause
What to do

Clicks not tracking

The affiliate ID was stripped from the URL, the visitor uses an ad blocker or privacy browser that removes tracking parameters, or the daily breakdown has not refreshed yet

Copy your link fresh from the affiliate dashboard and confirm it still contains your affiliate ID. Test it in a private/incognito window, then allow time for the daily breakdown to update before assuming a click was lost.

Stripe Connect payout not received

Stripe Connect onboarding is incomplete (identity or bank details unverified), there was no earned commission that cycle, or the bank is still processing

Open the Stripe Connect status link in your dashboard and finish any pending verification. Confirm you had commission for the cycle (pending amounts are only paid after the cycle closes at month end) and allow normal bank processing time.

Conversion not attributed

The account was not first created through your link, the link parameters were lost on that device, or the signup belongs to another program (each referral is attributed to one program only)

Compare Signups and Conversions in your dashboard. A signup with no conversion usually means the user simply has not upgraded to a paid plan yet. Attribution is fixed at account creation, so the account must be created via your link.

Referral cookie / attribution window questions

Expecting a time-limited cookie

SellerMagnet uses permanent link-based attribution, not a cookie with an expiry. Once an account is created through your link, the referral and the customer discount stay associated with you, including future resubscriptions. There is no attribution window to worry about.

Exact commission amounts, payout status, and the rates applied to your account are always shown in your affiliate dashboard. If a discrepancy remains after the checks above, contact support with your affiliate ID and the relevant dates.

❓ FAQ

How do I apply for the Affiliate Program?

Visit the Affiliate Program page on the SellerMagnet website and complete the application form. The team reviews applications within 2-5 business days.

Is there a cost to join the Affiliate Program?

No. The program is free to join. There are no fees, minimum commitments, or required purchases.

Do I need to be a SellerMagnet user to become an affiliate?

It is not strictly required, but it is strongly recommended. Personal experience with the product makes your promotions more authentic and effective.

What happens if a subscriber cancels and later resubscribes?

Since the referral link is permanent, any resubscription by a referred user is attributed to you regardless of timing.

Can I be both a referrer (Refer a Friend) and an affiliate?

Yes, but each referral is attributed to one program only. If a new user signs up through your affiliate link, it counts as an affiliate conversion, not a friend referral.

Are there minimum performance requirements to stay in the program?

There are no minimum thresholds to maintain membership. However, inactive affiliates (no clicks for 12 months) may be removed for housekeeping purposes.
